During a working visit to the South Kazakhstan region Prime Minister Serik Akhmetov visited the Entrepreneurs Service Center (ESC), created by the order of President Nursultan Nazarbayev.
The head of government got acquainted with the goals, objectives and mechanisms of the Center work, working on the "one stop" principle. ESC was opened in Shymkent this year on October, 17. Today, more than 200 entrepreneurs of the region have applied for consultants of the ESC . Here businessmen get consulting and information services in various areas, ranging from learning the basics of business and modern technologies in management, accounting and finance, tax reporting, interpretation of customs procedures, and the latest trends in information technology. This is provided in order to explain the wide range of possible applications of tools of state support of entrepreneurship.
Lyazzat Ibrahimova, Chairwoman of the Board of "Entrepreneurship Development Fund "Damu" JSC noted that this is the second project launched under the execution of the order of the President on development of centers of business competence in the regions. The first center was opened on October 1, 2012 in Almaty. Its principal focus is to create favorable conditions for effective development and increase competitiveness of Kazakhstan's business by providing integrated support.
Head of the government had a discussion with entrepreneurs and listened to their opinions on the benefits of the center. He also instructed Fund "Damu" to analyze the experience of the two centers , and in addition to take into account the wishes of employers and to report on the effectiveness of operations and prospects of development of such centers in December.
Gulmira Istykuova, beginning businessman, came to the center to learn about the measures of state support for small and medium businesses. "It was interesting to me and now I've decided to open my own business - create a workshop for sewing national clothes and making souvenirs . Consultants of the center helped me to develop the business plan and to choose the best financing option".
It is planned that in 2013, ESC’swill work in all regional centers of the country, and in the middle of November of this year the first Business Support Center (BSC) will be opened at the same time in twelve monotowns.Mobile (bus) ESC in areas of five regions , including the South Kazakhstan region .
«Entrepreneurship Development Fund «Damu” JSC is the main operator and integrator of measures on business support . The Fund's programs are implemented in three main areas : increasing the volume and improving access to finance for entrepreneurs, promoting diversification of the business sector and its industrial and innovative development , increasing the professionalism of SMEs through training of beginning entrepreneurs and top managers of SMEs, international internships, service, and information support.
In the structure of the Fund there are sixteen regional branches in all fourteen affiliates and the cities of Astana and Almaty. To the current date, the Fund implemented more than 25 programs on financial and non-financial support of entrepreneurs.
