Holding “Baiterek” announced start of a new program to support medium-sized enterprises

On January 27, a meeting with entrepreneurs held in Akimat of Kyzylorda region with participation of Deputy Akim of Kyzylorda region Galym Amreyev, Project Manager of Strategy and priority projects department of Holding "Baiterek" Yermek Kazym, government officials, banks and the "Damu" Fund.

The program to support medium-sized enterprises, where existing or potential exporters of products with the ongoing dynamics of growth, stable financial performance can take part was presented for entrepreneurs by Yermek Kazim.

Among the sectors of the economy, priority will be given to machinery, food industry and production of construction materials. The meeting was attended by about 40 entrepreneurs conducting entrepreneurship activity in these areas. Several entrepreneurs expressed a desire to participate in the program and intend to submit their applications in the near future.

Program will be implemented by Holding "Baiterek" through its subsidiaries - JSC "Development Bank of Kazakhstan", JSC "Entrepreneurship Development Fund "Damu", JSC "Kazyna Capital Management ", JSC "National Agency for Technological Development ", JSC "KazExportGarant". Each of these development institutes will provide their tools for implementation of program. Among them - the direct lending, financing of leasing transactions, subsidies for interest rate, loan guarantees, export insurance, pre-export financing and trade financing, grants for innovation. Thus, the program will provide comprehensive support for medium-sized enterprises on the principle of "one window".

As a result of implementation of the program it is planned to create a companies that can compete in regional and global markets, obtain growth of non-oil exports and import substitution. In addition, it is planned to develop production of high-tech and energy efficiency products, which will increase the productivity of labor, tax revenues and GDP growth.

Management of the Holding and its subsidiaries are going to hold similar meetings with entrepreneurs of medium-sized enterprises in all regions of the country.
