In 2014, an entrepreneur from Rudniy Oleg Kovalyov received a grant within development of monotowns 2012-2020 program, in the amount of 1 500 000 tenge for the purchase of equipment in order to show educational movies in full dome mode.
Starting from January 2015 a planetarium, designed to cover children's educational institutions in the Rudniy city, began to operate after all the necessary equipment has been purchased.
In schools, children are offered a variety of movies on the following courses: astronomy, biology and geography. The image will appear on the inner surface of the dome, and the children sitting on the specially equipped comfortable sofas watching enthusiastically as a solar system and even an entire galaxy unfolding overhead.
The planetarium program also comprises cartoons for kindergartens, developing love and respect for nature in kids.
Naturally, all these shows are on the paid basis, but Oleg do not forget about social responsibility. On February 22, he organized a free screening of movies in the orphan home of Rudniy city.
"Attending cinemas, sports clubs and many other places are not affordable to all children, nowadays you have to pay for everything, - says Oleg. - So we decided to come with our planetarium and show to children a series of films or cartoons about the underwater world, astronomical observations, and many other things to cover all children's audience. In March, we are planning to make the same trip to nursing home of Rudniy city, and as content updates to repeat such actions. "
Children watched all the films with joy, and at the end of the demonstration have received sweets.
