Head of the "Damu" Fund Kanysh Tuleushin visited the company for the production of hosiery products "AlemBT" in Shymkent city and purchased socks made in Kazakhstan

The company is located in special economic zone "Ontystik" and have been financed by the National Fund of the Republic of Kazakhstan, allocated to the "Damu" Fund in 2015 as part of the third tranche. The total amount of the loan to "AlemBT" LLP through "Halyk Bank of Kazakhstan" was 1.5 billion tenge, at the rate of 6% per annum. The funds have been spent on construction of the factory and the acquisition of the South Korean equipment line.

At present, the factory employs 180 people. In 2016-2017, it is planned to increase work places to 400 people.

The volume of production - more than 16 million pairs per year with the possibility of doubling in 2016-2017.

Additionally, dye workshop and equipment for the production of latex (elastin) and lycra (spandex) were purchased, which gives an advantage in the cost of production and the possibilities of providing a wide range of products. Incidentally, the cost of hosiery products ranges from 70 to 650 tenge depending on composition. The most expensive one comprised of - 100% cotton, for the cheaper one spandex and lycra added. Finished goods of hosiery factory will be sold on the domestic market (70%) and remaining will be exported to the countries such as - Russia, USA, South Korea (30%). Negotiations are under way on the issue of exports to Eastern Europe.

Cotton yarn purchased from domestic producers "Yutex"JSC. It was reanimated in 2014 by "Baiterek" holding and its subsidiaries - Investment Fund of Kazakhstan and Development Bank of Kazakhstan, which were able to restore production and launch two factories "Yutex" and "Melange". It was important to preserve the production of domestic textile and save jobs.
