Programme Goal

Facilitating qualitative development of small and medium business and strengthened role of SMB in the diversification of Kazakhstan’s economy

Programme Objectives

– financial support to SMBAPFPODFP operating in priority economic sectors in line with the Strategy of Industrial and Innovative Development of Kazakhstan for 2003-2015;

– ensuring a lower cost of credit for ongoing small and medium business entities operating in priority economic sectors in line with the Strategy of Industrial and Innovative Development of Kazakhstan;

Years 2009 – 2012

Funding Sources

Fund's own resources and borrowings including government-guaranteed loans taken out by the Fund.

Expected Outcomes

better quality of the quantitative structure of SMBs, i.e. more small businesses incorporated as legal entities and more medium businesses due to expansion of a part of small businesses as a result of an increase in assets and staff;

enhanced competitiveness and export capacity of SMBs;

strengthened role of SMB in diversification of Kazakhstan’s economy;

more new and maintained jobs.
